Changing Directions - In 2014, when I was 30 years old, a very close friend of mine suddenly died of cancer. She was an educated biologist who believed strongly in my work and who loved my ideas. It was a devastating loss for me and left me soul-searching after an answer to the question: How could 2 of my friends die from cancer at less than 30 years of age? 💖
